Only a few more days to what is arguably the biggest classic car event in the world, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. For our restoration team, the final weeks leading up to this culmination of the annual Concours season are always the busiest time of the year. From museum exhibits to for sale displays, everything needs to be prepared and perfected for the enjoyment by enthusiasts and marque experts at this most extraordinary confluence of automotive enthusiasts. 	From the very first racing appearance of the 300 SL W194 in 1952 to the most recent incarnation, the all-new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster, the 'Super Light' Mercedes-Benz sports cars have been an automotive icon since day one. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this remarkable series, we now offer a special edition 1:12 scale model of the famous 300 SL 'Gullwing' Coupe. This high quality model features movable parts such as boot lid, bonnet and doors. And from engine bay to the interior, you will find an exceptionally fine richness of detail put into this model.

	This beautiful 1968 280 SL is an excellent example of a 'Pagoda' series roadster. It was recently comprehensively restored at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center. The car remains in its original configuration of red paintwork (DB568) and black MB-Tex interior (DB131). The Classic Center restoration specialists removed, rebuilt and reinstalled all mechanical systems with special emphasis on correct functionality and appearance to factory new standards. This remarkable 280 SL will be presented for sale at the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge at Pebble Beach this weekend.

	The area around the Monterey peninsula becomes the absolute epicenter for the automotive society in August.
