Metric's rousing tracks have been featured in several popular TV programs and films, and now, after the release of their latest album, Synthetica, Metric can be seen and heard at some exciting ILX events throughout the summer.
A listening party par excellence
To kick things off, on June 21st a listening party at one of Hollywood's most historic club venues, the Avalon, made quite a splash. Guests mingled against a soundscape of Metric's Synthetica album, and two 2013 Acura ILX models were centerpieces inside the club. A visually stunning projection-mapping installation using the ILX as the focal point was a highlight, as images were projected onto the windows of the vehicle and LED lights were embedded under the car, in the door seams and inside the wheels. Metric concerts for Acura owners
From June through September, Acura will present five Metric concerts to select Acura owners in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco that will feature the ILX projection-mapping installations. The invitation-only guests will have the unique opportunity of being the first audience to hear Metric perform their new album live. Concertgoers will also have access to an exclusive Metric track after checking into Foursquare or Dropp.

 |  |  Last year, Tyson Hugie drove his 1994 Legend past the 500,000-mile mark at Acura headquarters. This year, he's been traveling again with exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the new ILX. After meeting with the car's designer at Acura headquarters in Torrance, California, he flew to Detroit where the car was unveiled. Next up was a personal tour of the manufacturing process in Indiana. And now in this new video, Tyson goes to his hometown dealer in Scottsdale, Arizona to pick up the ILX that he'll drive for the next year. See how he customizes it to make it his own before he drives off for his year-long adventure.

|  |  The ILX and RDX have the Pandora®1 Internet Radio Interface that lets you take the digital DJ app for your iPhone® 2 along for the ride. Using either Bluetooth3 Audio or plugging the phone into a USB4 jack, you can navigate Pandora through your audio system controls. Pandora is a service that lets you explore a vast trove of music by dropping one of your favorite songs, artists or genres into the application, and it quickly scans an entire world of music to find songs with musical similarities to your choice. It collects hundreds of musical details on every track you choose and then chooses your new favorite songs.
In addition, both vehicles have the Short Message Service (SMS) text message function5, which lets you respond to incoming text messages without using your hands. When driving with a paired, activated, SMS-compatible phone, the system will notify you of an incoming text message. Rather than averting your eyes from the road by reading the text on a display, the system will ask if you want it to "read" the message to you. After the message is read aloud, you can use the center display to select one of six pre-prepared responses. The system also gives you the option to call the person who sent the text. Currently the system is compatible with certain Blackberry® phones with the MAP protocol. Other models with the required messaging protocol are expected to enter the market in the future.

Greatest thing on 4 wheels

I've been driving an Integra for the better part of a century. I've owned my '01 GSR since 2006 and has been a project ever since I picked up the car. Nearly everything has been modified in some fashion bumper-to-bumper. This is my 2nd Integra, the first being a Thunder Grey Metallic '04 LS.
Every time I step into my Nighthawk Black Pearl GSR, my smile grows wider with every notch passed on the tachometer. Nothing on the road is comparable to the sound of VTEC engagement, screaming all the way up to an impressive 8100 rpm. The way the car handles even the most challenging of corners makes anyone fully appreciate what this car offers. I will most definitely drive an Integra until the planet is void of them.
