The record-setting victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia, a grueling road race through the beautiful Italian countryside began at 7:22 in the morning when Sir Stirling and his navigator Denis Jenkinson started this legendary race car. Little did they know that over the coming 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds, 1,000 miles and an average speed of 98.53 mph, "722" was going to write motorsports history.
