| One of our greatest pleasures is to share our passion for the three-pointed star and to connect with fellow classic car aficionados. The 20th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance held this weekend in Florida gives us the perfect opportunity to do exactly that and will probably draw about 18,000 visitors to walk among and enjoy the over 250 high-end vehicles competing for ribbons in this year's Concours on Sunday. Mercedes-Benz is a founding sponsor of what is now considered the most prestigious classic car show on the East Coast. We are particularly excited about this year's honoree at the Concours, Sir Stirling Moss, in commemoration of his victory at the Mille Miglia in the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR 60 years ago in 1955. | The name Sir Stirling Moss has been inseparably linked with Mercedes-Benz for 60 years. The year 1955 was a highly important one for the member of the Silver Arrow team: his record-setting victory at the Mille Miglia in 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds has remained unbroken to this day – one of the greatest successes in Mercedes-Benz racing history. Few racing drivers are able to indulge in reminiscences so many years after the event. Sir Stirling Moss still reunites with his famous "722" 300 SLR from time to time.
