With the Holidays and 2013 drawing closer and closer, it's time to reflect on this past eventful year. 2012 marked the 60th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz SL as the model with the longest history in the current Mercedes-Benz passenger car line-up. Throughout the year, we enjoyed celebrating this milestone with you at the numerous Concours d'Elegance events. We want to express our gratitude for your continuous support and enthusiasm, and the dedication to preserve your iconic Mercedes-Benz Classics for many more years to come. 	The featured car is a two owner, late series 1995 model with just 29,000 miles from new. The car was originally delivered by Fletcher Jones Motorcars Mercedes-Benz, Newport Beach, California and has been a garage-kept California car for all of its life. The Polar White paintwork with Parchment leather interior presents as new. The overall condition of the car can be described as exceptional and the lifetime care of the vehicle is confirmed with complete service records (exclusively performed by Mercedes-Benz). The extreme rarity of finding this "workhorse" W124 series car in showroom condition is fascinating. This vehicle represents an opportunity for a fan of the classic Mercedes-Benz W124 series station wagon to experience a new-like vehicle nearly two decades after its debut.

	The public and the press were looking towards December 8, 1982 with great expectations. With the presentation of the compact-class sedans Type 190 and 190 E, Daimler-Benz did not unveil a successor model series, but broadened the existing Mercedes-Benz passenger car program by a third main series. This new range of models was characterized by more compact measures, reduced weight and increased economy without making any compromises as to handling performance, safety and reliability. Minimized energy consumption was reached by using high-strength sheet steel and other weight-reducing materials as well as by aerodynamic optimization.

	With just 1,400 300 SL "Gullwing" Coupes ever made, every example is a fascinating statement in state-of-the-art 1950's technology and design. This fascination is even greater when examining the fine details of early production 300 SLs as they featured numerous hand-tooled components not seen on later production 300 SLs. The 44th Gullwing ever made is currently undergoing a complete frame-off restoration at the Classic Center and is available for sale. Guided by the documentation available through the Mercedes-Benz archives in Germany, special attention is being given to factory correct finishes, plating and hardware, bringing this exceptional vehicle back to the condition it was in when it first left the factory in 1954. With work on the vehicle's body just about to start, it is the perfect time to claim ownership of this 300 SL and have it optioned according to your wishes. With over 80 original color codes and various leather and plaid interiors available, you can make this your own custom but period-correct 300 SL Coupe.

	In 2013, we will see the highly anticipated presentation of the all-new W222 series S-Class. Appropriately, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz Classic calendar celebrates the legacy of the S-Class. Twelve stunning photographs by world photographer Monty Shadow capture the premium class in the Mercedes-Benz vehicle family and its long history, tracing back to its 1904 origin. Shadow then merges his images with the works of Italian artist Mimmo Rotella, best known for his collage art defined by film posters of famous film stars that he has torn, painted, pasted over and cut up.
