 |  David Brabham and Scott Sharp drove their Patrón Highcroft Racing Acura ARX-02a to an overall victory at the Grand Prix of Mosport on August 30th, leading Acura to its fifth 1-2-3 sweep of the season and clinching both the LMP1 Engine and Chassis Manufacturers' Championships for Acura. Drivers Gil de Ferran and Simon Pagenaud of de Ferran Motorsports took second place overall, with Pagenaud recording the fastest single race lap. Drivers Adrian Fernández and Luis Diaz of the Lowe's Fernández Acura team finished third overall, celebrating their seventh LMP2 class win of the year and securing enough points to take the 2009 LMP2 Drivers' Championship.
